I wonder where in this world you are
Watching the destruction from afar..
A mother rocks her baby to sleep
A young girls mind has fallen to deep
A future leader first looks to our past, destiny calling at long last
A young man just wants to go home
Lost in the mountains as he roams
The town lit only with candle light
carrying them through each dark night
The internet is still shut down
She prays he’ll find her in this tow
I found my family, in my mind
Roasting coffee like old times
In the court yard, safe and sound
Coffee smoke arising from the ground
It’s a memory I always replay
To get me through another hard day
It’s always the same, another hard day
This excruciating pain never goes away
Aboi, don’t leave me down here alone
Aboi, how do I stop my heart from turning to stone?
